According to Li Jianbo, Secretary General of the Isocyanate Specific Committee (ISA), BASF, Bayer, Dow Chemical, Huntsman, etc., have signed a number of international companies that have signed the Responsible Care Global Charter, and Yantai, which is the first batch of pilot responsibility care in the domestic oil and chemical industry. This reporter learned that ISA is organizing seminars and setting up emergency response work teams to guide industry players in fulfilling their responsibility and care. Since 2007, ISA has held a seminar on diisocyanate responsible care every year to help companies implement responsible care and improve the quality and level of responsible care. Since 2008, ISA has held a symposium on phosgene safety every two years. Invited authoritative experts in the field of international isocyanates to introduce their experiences to enhance the safety management level of the domestic phosgene industry. ISA has also set up an emergency response working group, which has currently compiled three emergency handling manuals for MDI accidents, TDI accidents, and phosgene accidents. It also compiled the “FAQs for Polyurethane Fire Safety FAQs†and is now working on hard foam. Polyurethane spray emergency handling materials.
