Riverdale Fire Department apparatus updates

Dennis McGuire, Jr. shared the following update: Riverdale Fire Department has replaced their old Pierce engines with two E-Ones that were previously used by the Fire Service. One of the original Pierce engines, Engine 831, was sold to the Joplin Fire Department in Missouri. The other engine, Engine 830, was reportedly sold to a fire department located further downstate. Additionally, the 1971 Snorkel from Oak Forest is no longer part of Riverdale’s fleet and is currently being prepared for sale to a business in Crestwood. That company plans to restore the unit into a memorial truck, honoring its past service. There's also word that the Toyne squad is expected to be at Fire Service for a full rebuild. This could mean a significant transformation and renewed life for the apparatus. Here are some photos showing the changes. The first image shows Engine 831 as it appeared in Riverdale before its move to Joplin. The second photo displays the same engine after it was repainted and sent to Missouri. Both images were taken by Fire Service, Inc. The Toyne Squad 851, another key piece of equipment, is pictured here as it looked in Riverdale before any potential modifications. It's clear that Riverdale is undergoing some major transitions, and these updates reflect the ongoing evolution of their fleet.
