   This large-capacity heavy oil pump is a twin-screw type pump. It operates by using a shaft that meshes with the spiral sleeve and the pump body to create a sealed cavity. As the screw rotates, the medium is transported from the inlet to the outlet, achieving continuous and stable pumping. The twin-screw pump has two types: sealed and non-sealed. Based on the media intake direction, it can be classified into single-suction and double-suction structures. This particular model is a non-sealed twin-screw pump. One end of the active screw is driven by the prime mover, while the driven screw is powered through a synchronous gear. This design ensures no metal-to-metal contact between the screws, making the pump highly reliable even under harsh conditions.
2. Structural Characteristics of Twin Screw Type Marine Cargo Pump

   The inlet and outlet are specially designed to ensure sufficient medium remains in the pump. Even when the suction pipe is completely empty, the pump still maintains good self-priming capability. The pump body features a special circular valve that opens when the outlet pressure exceeds the working pressure, allowing some medium to return to the inlet or bypass, reducing startup torque. A synchronizer gear transfers torque from the driving screw to the driven one, ensuring no metal contact and high reliability. During operation, the meshing screws form a sealed chamber, enabling smooth and continuous liquid transfer without pulsation.
