3D Systems' stock fell on Wednesday after the company cut its profit forecast this year and blamed manufacturing issues. The company also said that revenue for the third fiscal quarter will be $169 million or less, well below analysts' expectations of $186.4 million. During the quarter, 3D Systems said that it plans to pay 19 cents or less per share, which may be lower than the expected 18 cents per share.
Despite setbacks, analysts are still optimistic about the prospects of 3D printing technology and are optimistic that they hope to have the opportunity to sell 3D printers to customers. The industry is still young, so it is very dangerous for most individual investors. Analysts see the company’s shares rising to $57.75 over the next 18 months. This will be about 50% upside.
