According to the report, during the special rectification operations from August to December last year, 98,000 food production and processing companies obtained production licenses, all of the certified products were affixed with the QS (Quality and Safety) mark, and another 120,000 food products. Small workshops signed a pledge of quality and safety.
At the same time, China initiated a total of 1,187 criminal cases for the investigation and production of counterfeit foods, drugs, and agricultural products, and arrested more than 1,480 criminal suspects. The 13 major cases including the human albumin fake medicine case and the fake pig blue-ear disease vaccine case supervised and administered by the Ministry of Public Security all broke through, arresting 64 people according to law and involving a total amount of more than 1.3 billion yuan.
