High Angle Rescue in Chicago, 10-28-16 (more)

This is from Steve Redick:

Today, the Chicago Fire Department responded to an unusual call at 4225 N. Knox. A worker was on top of a large water tower when he experienced a medical issue and needed assistance getting down. The CFD deployed a full technical rescue team to handle the situation. Tower 23 managed to reach the base of the tank using the tower bucket and transported personnel and equipment to that level. Once there, firefighters established an anchor point and used safety harnesses to help the individual descend the gooseneck ladder from the top of the tank to the catwalk. It looked like the victim was able to assist in most of the process, and the entire operation went smoothly and safely. You can view all the photos here.
