Common valve layout requirements

General layout requirements:

1. Valve should be set in easy access and easy to operate, maintain place. Valves on the pipeline should be centrally arranged. The pipeline valve below the ground should be set in the valve well.

2. The vertical pipe valve hand wheel center generally 1.2 meters from the operating surface, should not exceed 1.8 meters.

3. Horizontal pipeline valves, stem direction can be determined in the following order: vertical upward, horizontal, downward tilt 45 degrees, not allowed to vertical downward.

4. Arranged around the operating platform around the center of the valve platform edge should not be greater than 450mm.

5. Stem horizontal rod valve installation, when the valve is opened, shall not affect traffic.

6. Parallel arrangement of the valve on the pipeline, the centerline should try to get Qi, the clear distance between the hand wheel should not be less than 100mm, can be staggered layout.

7. Valves on the bottom of equipment such as towers, reactors, vertical vessels and the like shall not be arranged in the skirt. 8. Valves should be installed as close as possible to the main pipe or equipment. Valves connected to the nozzle of the equipment should be connected directly. The valves on the pipe connected with highly toxic medium equipment should be directly connected to the nozzle of the equipment.

9. From the main pipe on the level of branch, should be near the root of the horizontal section of the cut-off valve.

Common valve layout requirements

1 stop valve

a Handwheel, lever-operated shut-off valve can be installed anywhere on the pipe

b hand wheel, handle and valve drive mechanism is not allowed for lifting

c Install the media so that the direction of flow matches the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body

d less than or equal to the general under the DN100 design higher than the low, greater than or equal to the general design of the high-low DN125 from the design

e Straight-through globe valves are mounted on a horizontal pipe

2. Gate valve

a Manual single gate valve can be installed in any position.

b double gate valve should be installed upright, that is, the stem in a vertical position, hand wheel at the top.

3 throttle

a Because the throttle valve is operated more frequently, it should be installed in an easy-to-operate position and can be mounted on a horizontal pipe or a vertical pipe

4 check valve

a Straight-through lifting check valve should be installed on the horizontal pipe; vertical lifting check valve and the bottom valve installed in the vertical pipe, and the medium flows from bottom to top.

b check valve should not be arranged directly in the pipe elbow or bend downstream to avoid eddy current caused by medium flowing through the valve

c Swing Lift Check Valve Installation position is not limited, usually installed in horizontal pipe, but can also be installed on vertical pipe or inclined pipe.

d base valve should be installed at the bottom of the pump suction pipe

e During design, account should be taken of the damaging effects of water hammer pressure on valves, piping or equipment when the valve is closed.

5. Butterfly valve

a With wrench butterfly valve, can be installed in the pipe or equipment anywhere.

b butterfly valve with a transmission mechanism, the general should be upright installation or product manual installation

Ball valve

a With a wrench operated ball valve, can be installed in the pipe or equipment in any position

7. Diaphragm valve

a Diaphragm valve should not be used in vacuum piping and vacuum equipment

b Diaphragm valve with handwheel, can be installed anywhere in the pipe or equipment

8. Safety valve

a import pipe layout requirements

* Safety valve should be installed in the vertical position. Otherwise, the manufacturer's consent should be obtained.

* The safety valve should be installed as close as possible to the equipment or system being protected.

* The installation of safety valve inlet takeover should be short and straight. Imported pipe channel minimum cross-sectional area should not be less than the safety valve inlet cross-sectional area. In the case of high pressure and large displacement, the inlet pipe should have a sufficiently large fillet radius at the inlet or conical passages with an inlet cross-sectional area approximately twice that of the outlet cross-sectional area.

* When the relief valve is discharged, the pressure drop between the protected equipment and the safety valve in the inlet pipe should be as small as possible. Under no circumstances shall the pressure drop exceed 3% of the set pressure or 1/3 of the maximum allowable opening and closing pressure drop (whichever is smaller). The pressure drop over the General Assembly led to safety valve frequency jump.

* Imported pipe set CB bracket

* When installed in the safety valve inlet isolation valve, it should not violate the relevant laws or regulations.

* Safety valve should not be installed in the dead end of the long horizontal pipe, in order to avoid accumulation of solid or liquid material at the dead end, affecting the safety valve normal work

b Discharge pipe layout requirements

* The discharge pipe passage cross-sectional area should not be less than the safety valve outlet cross-sectional area. When multiple safety valves are to be discharged to a single header, the cross-sectional area of ​​the discharge header shall be such as to guarantee the total amount of discharge of all safety valves to which it may be simultaneously discharged.

* The drain pipe is generally equipped with GL bracket

* Prevent any conditions that may cause obstruction to the exhaust pipe. Drains should be provided when necessary to prevent rain, snow, condensate, etc. from accumulating in the discharge pipe.

* Relief valve drainage and lyophobic should be directed to a safe place. Special attention should be given to the discharge of dangerous media and liquid repellent.

* When installed in the safety valve outlet isolation valve, it should not violate the relevant laws or regulations.

9. Pressure reducing valve

a The pressure relief valve should not be located near rotating equipment or subject to shock and should be considered for easy access

b valve should be installed on the level of the pipeline

c Relief valve outlet should be provided with a reliable support to avoid the process of decompression vibration damage
