On December 23, Futian Automobile's Beijing multi-purpose vehicle factory with a total investment of more than 3 billion yuan officially laid the foundation in Miyun County, adding 200,000 units of production capacity. According to the plan, Futian Automobile will also build the Auman GTL new energy-saving heavy truck plant, gasoline engine plant, heavy machinery factory, and global business headquarters in the next two years. After these key projects are completed, Foton Motor will form a production capacity of 1 million vehicles and 1 million engines. As the global product base of Foton Motor, the plant is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2011. In 2012, the product will enter the high-end auto market in Europe and America.

Increase 200,000 capacity

Foton Motor Beijing Multi-purpose Vehicle Factory will mainly produce new energy vehicles. The total land area of ​​the project is about 1600 mu. At present, the plant is targeted at the main products of Foton Motor's existing Mpike and Madi, as well as newly developed pickups, SUVs, VANs (vans) and CUVs. All the products produced by this factory are products independently developed by Foton Motor. The products will start from the R&D and design stage, that is, they will meet the needs of the international market and will achieve simultaneous global listing. Foton Motor intends to accelerate the internationalization process.

According to the Foton Motor Project, during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, Foton Motor will establish the world's leading position in commercial vehicles and strive to become one of the top 10 auto companies in the world. By around 2020, Foton Motors will strive to achieve the world's best, and passenger cars will be leading domestically and globalize. The total sales volume will exceed 4 million units and the operating revenue will exceed 300 billion yuan.

According to statistics, from January to November this year, Foton Motors achieved sales of 550,000 vehicles, an increase of 41.2% year-on-year. It is expected that more than 600,000 vehicles will be produced and sold throughout the year, and all economic indicators will be the best in history.

Focus on building five major projects

According to industry sources, in order to achieve the goal of global development, Foton Motor will focus on building five major projects in the next two years, namely Beijing Multi-Function Vehicle Factory, Auman GTL's new energy-saving heavy truck plant, gasoline engine plant, heavy machinery factory and global business headquarters. . The foundation of Foton's Beijing multi-purpose vehicle factory marks the official start of the five key projects in Futian.

Auman GTL's new energy-saving heavy-duty truck plant is located in Miaocheng District, Huairou District. It mainly produces Fudan Automobile's new generation of energy-saving heavy trucks - Auman GTL's new energy-saving heavy trucks, with an annual design capacity of 80,000 units. Upon completion, it will become the world's largest production base for medium-heavy duty trucks; The engine factory is located in Shahe Town, Changping District. It mainly produces gasoline direct-injection turbocharged engines with advanced international standards, emission levels up to Euro V, and potential to upgrade Euro VI. The annual design capacity is 400,000 units. The heavy machinery factory is planned to be located in Changping. The company mainly produces large-scale mechanical equipment such as mine construction vehicles, truck cranes, crawler cranes, and all-terrain cranes, with an annual design capacity of 6,000 units.

According to the plan, by 2012, after the completion of the five key projects, Foton will have a vehicle production capacity of 1 million units (including 500,000 units in the Beijing plant) and 1 million engines. The new industrial output value was 100 billion yuan, profits and taxes were 8.8 billion yuan, and the output value of components and services was 50 billion yuan. According to the Futian Automobile News spokesman, in 2012, Futian's automobile products will enter the high-end automobile market in the United States, Europe, and Japan as Futian's emissions reach the Euro 5 and Euro 6 standards.

In addition to the construction of the five key domestic projects, Foton Motor will also implement the “5+3+1” global development strategy: that is, to build five production lines with 100,000 units in countries such as Brazil, India, Russia, Mexico, and Thailand. The overseas factory, through the adjustment of product structure, through the production of high-end automotive and engine products, breaking Japan, South Korea, Western Europe and North America, the world's three most high-end automotive market; taking the opportunity of new energy as a passenger vehicle business to achieve leapfrog development.
