Heat treatment technology of speed increasing gear in screw compressor

The speed increasing gear is the key transmission part in the screw compressor. The working speed is 2000~4000r/min, and the matching motor power is 90~250kW. There are two kinds of gears: gear shaft (length 250~350mm) and With internal gears. The tooth width is 50-70mm, the maximum radial dimension of the gear teeth is 150-385mm, the modulus is m=3, and the gear precision is 6 grade. It is made of 20CrMnTi steel.
The design of the drawing requires the surface hardness of the gear to increase by 54-60HRC and the hardness of the core to be 35~40HRC. The original gear of the speed-increasing gear in the use of the gear is in use. The reason for the inspection is that the hardness of the root is insufficient and there is a layer in the layer. Reticulated carbide. To this end, the gear is subjected to carburizing, normalizing, and quenching treatment using a well type carburizing furnace. The speed increasing gear process is forging → normalizing → roughing (forming) → carburizing → normalizing → semi-finishing → quenching and tempering → finishing → flaw detection.
Heat treatment process:
The first normalizing is a preliminary heat treatment, which is mainly for facilitating the cutting of the billet.
The second normalizing is to completely eliminate the net cementite in the infiltration layer, so as to avoid grinding cracks during grinding and improve the performance of the gear. Oil quenching is used for quenching. When entering the oil, depending on the shape and size of the gear, it is quenched in the horizontal or vertical direction along the gear axis to reduce the quenching deformation.
After the speed-increasing gear is quenched and tempered, the hardness is checked. The surface of the gear teeth is 54-60HRC, and the core is 35-40HRC. The metallographic structure of the gear is fine tempered martensite + granular carbide from the surface and the inner surface layer. Needle-like tempered martensite, the heart is tempered sorbite + ferrite. The depth of the hardened layer is 1.0-1.3mm. The longitudinal deformation of the gear common normal line is ≤0.03~0.07mm. All the above items meet the relevant standards and drawing design requirements.
The above heat treatment process was used to process more than 100 sets of speed increasing gears. After processing and inspection, none of the gears had cracks and deformations, and the metallographic phase and hardness also met the requirements.
