Design experience summary:
(1) The following circuit can boost mc34063 from 12v to 24v, but if the load current rises to 1.2A, the voltage drops by about 2v.

(4) r6 can not be less than 0.2 ohms minimum, and can not be omitted, for on-chip current detection

(8) Pay attention to the switching ground when wiring, the ground of the feedback signal and the output voltage should be separated, and the single point should be grounded.
