The first-phase project of annual output of 1 million tons of PVC resin and supporting annual output of 720,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda project by Sichuan Hanlong Group and Baotou Menghan Industrial Co., Ltd. was jointly invested in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on September 26. The Murter Right Banner started construction.
It is understood that the project is located in the Shangejia Chemical Industrial Park in Tumerteyou Qi, with a total investment of about 7.2 billion yuan. The first phase of the project will invest 2 billion yuan to build an annual output of 200,000 tons of PVC equipment and an annual output of 150,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda equipment and supporting facilities. The project will adopt the principles of overall planning and step-by-step implementation. After the completion of the first phase of the project, the second phase and the third phase will involve the construction of 400,000 tons of PVC units and corresponding caustic soda equipment and supporting projects. After all the projects have been put into production, the annual sales revenue can reach 10 billion yuan.
The project will rely on abundant coal, electricity, and limestone resources in Inner Mongolia, and adopt an integrated coal and electricity development model to promote the transformation of local resource advantages into economic advantages.
