According to Hong Kong Daily News, Dongfeng Motor (0489.HK) sales in September increased 36% from the same period last year to 71,202 units, including 19,388 Nissan sedan and 7,364 Honda sport utility vehicles. In the first nine months of this year, Dongfeng Motor sold a total of 532496 vehicles, an increase of 19.6% over the same period of last year.
Geely Automobile (0175.HK) sold 14,861 vehicles in September, an increase of 16% from the same period last year. In the first nine months of this year, Geely’s car sales increased by 44% from the same period last year to 127,494 units. In the first 9 months of this year, the company completed 70.8% of its annual sales target of 180,000 vehicles. Given the good sales prospects in the fourth quarter, Geely Automobile is expected to be able to successfully complete its annual sales tasks.
