According to reports, in the 50s of last century, Handan Tractor Accessories Factory was the first company specialized in producing automotive filters in China. Handan City has thus become one of the birthplaces of China's filter industry. After years of development, the city now has more than 130 filter manufacturers and more than 12,000 employees; the products cover nearly a thousand varieties, including 10 kinds of diesel filters, fuel filters and air filters. There are 1 state-level leading enterprises, 1 Chinese famous brand, and 1 national torch project. In 2010, sales of the filter industry reached 4 billion yuan.
At present, Handan City has become the largest sales and export base of the filter industry in China. It is expected that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, through the combination of the combination of imported technology and independent development, adjustment of the structure, and expansion of scale, the total annual production of automotive filters in Handan will reach 400 million, and the total industrial output value will be close to 10 billion yuan.
