After more than 40 years of development, Suizhou has become the largest tanker vehicle production base in China with the most complete variety of special-purpose vehicles, the most distinctive features, and the most abundant industrial resources. At present, the city has 172 large-scale special-purpose vehicles and parts manufacturing and sales enterprises, with total assets exceeding 5 billion yuan, among which there are 16 special-purpose automobile enterprises with national qualifications announced, and a number of other companies have been built and have special applications. The auto production capacity is applying for the qualification of special vehicle production. It has an annual production capacity of 70,000 special-purpose vehicles, 30,000 special-purpose vehicle chassis, 30,000 automobile bodies, and 3 million wheels. Can produce all 12 major series of special vehicles in the refueling vehicles, oil trucks, aircraft refueling vehicles, liquefied gas transport vehicles, cryogenic liquid transport vehicles, chemical liquid transport vehicles, powder material transport vehicles, bulk cement trucks, concrete mixers, greening Sprayer truck, under grey car, water supply truck, fire engine, grass seed sowing vehicle, truck-mounted crane truck, warehouse truck, special dump truck, suction and sewage suction truck, fresh transport vehicle, aerial working vehicle, and obstacle clearing There are more than 300 varieties of vehicles in 62 categories, including vehicles, health and epidemic prevention vehicles, mobile battery vehicles, dump trucks, vans, semi-trailers, and passenger cars. The tank car produced has a market share of more than 40% in the domestic market; among them, the production and sales volume of fuel tankers is 15,000, ranking first in the country; the production and sales volume of sanitation vehicles is 11,000, ranking first in the country; 25,000 vehicles, ranking first in the country; annual production and sales volume of steel wheels 2.28 million, ranking first in the country; annual sales of dump trucks 18,000, ranking the top three in China; annual sales of car castings 92,000 Tons, ranked among the top five in China.

Suizhou auto companies also reserve a large number of management talents, technical talents and skilled workers. According to statistics, the city’s automobile industry currently has 1,285 senior professional technicians and more than 16,000 skilled technicians and technicians. Its comprehensive vocational education system has trained a large number of reserve talents for special vehicle manufacturing enterprises.

As a national advanced vocational education city, Suizhou has more than 30 medium and high-level professional technical schools (hospitals) with more than 30,000 students.

Each special-purpose automobile production enterprise attaches great importance to scientific and technological innovation and enhances its research and development capabilities. One automobile company in the city has been identified as a national key high-paying technology enterprise and seven automobile enterprises have been identified as provincial-level high-tech enterprises. In 2007, the country’s first sand control and greening spray truck and the first domestic smart road test vehicle went offline in Suizhou.

In order to integrate market resources, the local government has introduced a series of preferential policies in recent years to attract foreign investment in the manufacturing of special vehicles. In September 2006, China Three-day Aerospace Group invested 150 million yuan in the reorganization of Shuanglong Company. In 2007, Hong Kong Wealth Group invested 500 million yuan to build Fortune Automobile Industrial Park in Suizhou, Guangdong Fuhua Group and the city's full-time company jointly invested 330 million yuan to build the country's largest automotive casting manufacturing base, and Coats Global Industrial Investment Group invested 900 million yuan. Yuan is building an international auto parts city in Suizhou.

Hubei Province has designated Suizhou special-purpose vehicles as the province's key development industries. Suizhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary Ma Qingming and Mayor Li Hongyun said that the city will support the development of special vehicles by the city's strength, continuously integrate the special-purpose automobile industry, accelerate the adjustment of product structure, enhance the ability of technological innovation, and further strengthen and expand this industry.
