Inside the outer cylindrical filter type vacuum filter made of iron or wood is a hollow cylinder large, many small ditch cylindrical surface, a surface covered with cloth. The entire cylinder can be roughly divided into three sections. The small ditch in the 1st and 3rd sections is connected by a pipe and an air extractor (ie, a vacuum pump), and the small ditch in the 2nd section is connected by a pipe and a pressure blower (ie, a compressor). . When the cylinder is in the third zone, due to the pumping of the air extractor (i.e., the vacuum pump), the ore particles are sucked onto the filter cloth of the cylinder to form a preliminary filter cake, which is called a filtration zone. When the cylinder 1 continues to operate the first region, since the vacuum pump continues pumping, further dry cake moisture, this area is called dry suction region. When the cylinder is turned to the second zone, the filter cake adhered to the cylindrical filter cloth is blown off due to the connection of the pipe to the pressure fan, and is scraped off the filter cloth by the squeegee. This completes a filter loop.

In the above filtration process, the vacuum and the pressure distribution of each zone are carried out through the wrong gas disk, so the gas disk is one of the most important components in the filter. The gas disc of the filter consists of three parts, see Figure 9-10. The outer plate a is a fixed part of the disc, wherein the holes 1 and 2 are connected to the vacuum pump. On the right side of the figure is the opposite side of the fixed plate, with an annular groove on it, and the groove 3 is divided into two parts by the spacer 3, the purpose of which is to separate the filtrate from the washing liquid if necessary. The plate b in the figure is a movable member of a disc which is rotated together with the cylinder, and the vacuum chamber of the cylinder is connected to the perforation of the plate b by a pipe. The plate c is a replaceable rotating plate, on which the bolts 4 penetrate into the holes 5 of the plate a. The two plates are pressed by a spring. When the plate b and the plate c rotate together with the filter cylinder, the hole of the plate b connected to the pipe can coincide with the annular groove of the plate a, and the annular groove is directly connected to the vacuum pump through the hole 1 and the hole 2. . Therefore, when the perforations of these tubes are facing the annular groove of the plate a, they are evacuated.

In addition to the holes 1 and 2, the plate a has holes 6, holes 7, and holes 8. The compressed air is blown through the three holes to blow the filter cake, that is, the tube in a certain part of the cylinder is just facing the plate. Figure 9-10 shows the assembly of the air disc.
