Recently, Ford said it will comply with the requirements of US regulators, expand the scope of recalls related to Takada airbags, and will recall an additional 40,000 vehicles.
Recently, under the constant urging of the US Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), Honda and Chrysler and other car companies have announced that they will extend the scope of the recall to the United States. Ford is the latest car company to announce the expansion of the recall.
Ford said in a statement that the recall will involve 38,500 vehicles across the United States, and that Ford’s recalls due to Takada airbags will reach 98,000.
Ford's additional recalls are the 2004-2005 Ranger and the 2005-2006 Ford GT, which will include 12 states and regions including Florida, Hawaii and Saipan.
