Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share an update on the situation here in Cicero. There was a pretty intense house fire this morning (Friday, April 15, 2016) at 3231 South 49th Avenue. When I got there, most of the flames were already under control. Engine 3 had two lines going inside, while the newly assigned Truck 1 focused on the roof. The teams did an incredible job containing the fire.
Attached are some photos I took from the scene. As you can see, it was quite a sight—smoke billowing everywhere, firefighters working hard to ensure everything was secure. These images really capture the intensity of the situation but also highlight how well-coordinated the response was.
Let me know if anyone has any questions or needs more details about what happened. It’s always tough to see places like this affected, but the firefighters here deserve major props for their quick action.
