The Dow Oil & Gas Division announced the launch of the NEPTUNE Advanced Submarine Tubing Insulation System. According to reports, the system is designed and developed to withstand the increasingly harsh environmental conditions in the exploitation of submarine oil fields, and its performance exceeds the existing submarine oil pipe insulation technology. During installation and use, the temperature range is -40°C~160°C, and the underwater working depth is up to 4km. In addition, the system is not only compatible with current mining and installation methods in the industry, but also eliminates the need for a separate adhesive layer, with only two layers of materials, simplifying the construction process and reducing the potential for failure. It is reported that through Dow's global coating provider supply network, the system has now passed rigorous testing and commercialization. Solutions for pipelines and interfaces are also coming soon.
