China's first nuclear-core pump successfully developed

The “Nuclear Secondary Pump First Set Outing Ceremony” jointly organized by the National Energy Administration, China Machine Group, and China Guangdong Nuclear Power was held today in Shenyang Blower Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as Shengu Group). The shipment of the product marks the beginning of the shift to mass production of nuclear secondary pumps for use in nuclear power plants in China, and has important milestones in the process of localization of nuclear pumps.

Su Yongqiang, chairman of Shenyang Drum Group, said that Shengu Group has integrated the resources of the original Shenyang Pump Factory, and in 2008 has obtained nuclear equipment design and manufacturing licenses for Class I, II and III, and obtained the ASME certificate at the end of 2008. Shengu Group has become the only nuclear-grade pump manufacturing enterprise with the most complete nuclear production license in China and the outstanding nuclear power product performance.

According to reports, Shengu Group completed the research and development, design, prototypes and tests of five kinds of nuclear secondary pumps from 2008 to 2009, and passed the national appraisal organized by the National Energy Administration. Its performance and indicators have reached the international advanced level. .
