Eaton Appoints New Senior Vice President and General Manager

In December 2012, Eaton announced that John Beering was appointed as the new Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Commercial Vehicle Transmission Business Unit, effective January 1, 2013.

John Beering’s current position is Eaton’s Vice President and General Manager of the Global Automotive Aftermarket and Clutch Business Unit. Before the company determines its successor to the current position, John Beering will work in both positions.

John Beering joined Eaton in 2006 and initially held the position of Global Marketing Director at Eaton’s Truck Group. Prior to joining Eaton, he served as a major commercial vehicle engine and service business at United Technologies Corporation’s Pratt & Whitney Corp. Director of Marketing.

John Beering graduated from Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management and received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in science from Purdue University.
