In Xinyi County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, the new company will form an annual production capacity of 270,000 tons of dilute nitric acid and 200,000 tons of porous ammonium nitrate. According to reports, the double-pressurization process technology to be adopted in this project's dilute nitric acid production unit has the advantages of higher ammonia conversion rate, lower production cost, and higher concentration of nitric acid; the exhaust gas emission NOX concentration is less than 200ppm, in line with national environmental protection requirements; The four-in-one unit of the core equipment is planned to use domestically produced equipment. The porous ammonium nitrate plant is intended to adopt the pressurized neutralization process and the high tower granulation process. The process has the advantages of small reaction volume, low investment, high heat utilization rate, flexible device adjustment, safety and reliability, and is very suitable for the double pressurization method. Melamine is independently developed by China's low pressure gas quenching method, with a short process route, simple operation and control, equipment investment, open and stop and other significant features.
The project is expected to be completed and put into production in 2014. By then, the dilute nitric acid production capacity will be ranked among the top five in the country, and the porous ammonium nitrate production capacity will become the first in the country.
