Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor and the rear of the structure. Auto aid units brought a Lockport engine and a Lemont tower ladder, while the full alarm response included Orland and Homer engines, ambulances from Plainfield and Mokena, and a Lemont Battalion Chief. Firefighters deployed two lines on the fire, and the tower ladder unit worked on the roof and eaves.
