The first domestic largest thermal power unit core component Dalian casting

Recently, Dalian Heavy Industry·Qingzhong Group Casting Steel Co., Ltd. successfully produced the core components for a 1000 MW high-efficiency supercritical power unit – the high-pressure inner cylinder and medium-pressure inner cylinder. This breakthrough product, developed with independent intellectual property rights, marks a major milestone in China's energy equipment manufacturing industry. It has effectively ended the country's long-term reliance on imported high-performance castings, addressing a critical need in the domestic market. The city of Dalian is now recognized as one of the leading centers in the national thermal processing industry. High-efficiency supercritical units, often referred to as high-parameter supercritical units, operate at extremely high steam pressures, typically ranging from 25 to 35 MPa, with main steam and reheat temperatures exceeding 580°C. These conditions require advanced casting technology and materials capable of withstanding extreme thermal and mechanical stresses. Before this development, no Chinese manufacturer had the capability to produce such high-quality castings, which can weigh up to 100 tons. This achievement not only enhances China's technological self-reliance but also strengthens its position in the global energy sector. The successful production of these components represents a significant step forward in the country’s efforts to develop cutting-edge power generation technologies.
