It is reported that Hyde Marine Company of the United States recently announced that its Hyde Guardian ballast Water Treatment System has received a type approval from American Bureau of Shipping after being approved by Lloyd's Register of Shipping. According to Hyde Marine, the company was the first to receive the US Bureau of Shipping's Product Design Assessment (PDA) certification in April 2010. This is the first step in obtaining a type approval from the American Bureau of Shipping, and it is also a technical equipment approval.
The Hyde Ballast Water System received a type approval from Lloyd's Register of Shipping in 2009.
