We've previously talked about CE marking, and now there's a new symbol for products sold in Great Britain. So what exactly is the UKCA mark?
Pressure Equipment Regulations (Safety) 2016 No. 1105 and the UKCA Mark
The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark is the new certification required for certain products placed on the market in Great Britain. It applies to most of the same items that previously needed CE marking, including pressure equipment.
The UKCA mark became effective on January 1, 2020, and from December 31, 2021, only products with the UKCA mark will be accepted in Great Britain. This change reflects the UK's post-Brexit regulatory shift, ensuring that safety standards remain high while allowing independent assessment of products entering the GB market.
Our approved body for UKCA marking is TÃœV UK Ltd. (Registration No. 0879), and we already meet the necessary assessment procedures. As a result, we are fully authorized to apply the UKCA mark to our products, and our certificate has been issued accordingly.
As per the Pressure Equipment Directive, all pressure equipment and assemblies above specified pressure or volume thresholds must be safe, meet essential safety requirements related to design, manufacturing, and testing, follow the appropriate conformity assessment procedures, and carry the UKCA mark along with other required information.
Sound Engineering Practice (SEP) and the UKCA Mark
For pressure equipment and assemblies below the specified pressure or volume thresholds, the requirements are slightly different. These products must still be safe, designed and manufactured according to good engineering practice (SEP), and carry the required markings—but they do not need the UKCA mark.
Form H Approval

We also include a Declaration of Conformity with every filter housing that carries the UKCA mark, ensuring full compliance and transparency for our customers.
