Recently, the Wenzhou Longwan Valve Industry Association was officially founded, with nearly 500 companies joining as members. It is worth noting that in the late 1960s, Wenzhou's Longwan area produced its first valve in Yongqiang. Over time, Longwan has evolved into a major hub for valve processing and sales. Last year alone, the local valve industry generated over 6 billion yuan in revenue, with more than 1,150 manufacturers operating across the country, supported by over 1,800 retail outlets.
Notably, stainless steel valves from Longwan account for more than 40% of the nation's annual production and contribute to 70% of the national output value. Following the establishment of the Longwan Valve Industry Association, efforts will be made to address existing weaknesses within the industry and focus on integrating enterprise strengths to guide healthy development and elevate the overall industrial level.
The association aims to exceed 15 billion yuan in valve industry output by 2010. During the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, Longwan plans to actively build itself into a "national base for valve manufacturing and sales," while comprehensively cultivating well-known trademarks at national, provincial, and municipal levels. This initiative seeks to expand and strengthen the "Longwan Valve" regional brand, enhancing its reputation and competitiveness in the market.
