After going through 30 rounds of entrepreneurial development, Longwan Valve has finally established its own "identity." Recently, the Wenzhou Longwan Valve Industry Association was officially founded, with nearly 500 companies joining as members. It is reported that in the late 1960s, Wenzhou's Longwan Yongqiang became the first to produce valves. Today, Longwan has evolved into a major hub for valve manufacturing and sales. Last year, the local valve industry generated over 6 billion yuan in revenue, with more than 1,150 valve manufacturers operating nationwide, establishing over 1,800 sales outlets. Notably, stainless steel valves account for over 40% of the country’s annual output, while their value represents 70% of the national total.
With the establishment of the Longwan Valve Industry Association, efforts will be made to address the weaknesses of local valve companies and focus on integrating enterprise strengths to guide the healthy development of the entire industry and elevate its overall level. The association stated that by 2010, the output value of the Longwan valve industry would exceed 15 billion yuan. During the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, Longwan aims to build itself into a leading base for valve manufacturing and sales in China. The association will also actively promote the cultivation of well-known trademarks, including national and provincial famous brands, in an effort to expand and strengthen the "Longwan Valve" regional brand. This strategic move is expected to enhance the industry's competitiveness and reputation both domestically and internationally.
