The 3rd Shanghai International Starch and Starch Derivatives Exhibition will be held in March

The 3rd Shanghai International Starch and Starch Derivatives Exhibition 2008, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, was hosted by the China Starch Industry Association and the Shanghai Science and Technology Development and Exchange Center. The event was organized by Shanghai Zhongye Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., and took place from March 31st to April 2nd, 2008, at the Shanghai Mart (99 Xingyi Road, Shanghai). Over the past three years, this exhibition has grown into the most professional and influential event in Asia's starch industry. It has attracted strong participation and support from numerous well-known companies around the world. By the end of December 2007, over 200 companies from more than 10 countries and regions had registered for the exhibition, with the exhibition area and number of exhibitors surpassing previous editions. Notable participants included COFCO Bio-Energy, US Corn Products International Co., Ltd., Shandong Jineng Jinmao, Zhucheng Xingmao, Shandong King of East and West, Zhucheng Runsheng, Novozymes, GEA, Dutch Gundam, Mitsubishi Corporation, Korea Hanter Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Huaou, Inner Mongolia Nailun, Yunnan Runkai, Heilongjiang Great Northern Wilderness, Haotian Potato Industry, Shandong Shifangyuantong, and many other leading enterprises. Exhibits covered a wide range of products, including raw starch, modified starch, starch sugar, sugar alcohols, enzyme preparations, processing equipment, and energy-saving and environmental protection technologies. To foster technical exchanges and collaboration between research institutions, universities, and starch companies, the exhibition featured a dedicated technology transfer zone. This provided a platform for showcasing and discussing new technological advancements and innovations. In addition, during the same period, the "2008 Shanghai International Biological Fermentation and Alcohol Technology Exhibition" was also held, strengthening connections between upstream and downstream companies. Experts and industry leaders were invited to deliver over ten high-level seminars, theme reports, and other informative sessions throughout the event. On-site expert consultations were also available to attendees. The exhibition aimed to highlight the progress made in China’s starch industry, offering companies insights into the latest international and domestic developments and advanced technical information. It served as an essential platform for technical exchange, trade negotiations, and cooperation, making it a must-attend event for manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users in the starch industry.
