Tri-Tip Recipe
- 1 (2 pounds) beef tri-tip roast
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- Season the tri-tip generously and evenly with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic.
- Skewer the tri-tip on a rotisserie spit and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.
- Attach the rotisserie spit to your grill, making sure the meat is balanced so it rotates smoothly.
- Place a drip pan underneath the tri-tip to catch any juices and keep your grill clean.
- Turn on the rotisserie motor and start the grill. Cook with the lid closed, beginning on high heat to sear the meat, then reduce to medium. The tri-tip should take about 20–25 minutes for medium-rare.
Check the internal temperature of the thickest part of the tri-tip; it should reach 135°F for medium-rare.
Let the tri-tip rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve and enjoy!
