New video test equipment comes out in Tektronix

In response to changing market demands, Tektronix has enhanced its IP analytics capabilities and expanded its portfolio of IP and video technology products. Its communication and video solutions offer customers cutting-edge IP surveillance and analysis tools. At the exhibition, Tektronix presented its latest innovations in IP technology within its showroom, highlighting its commitment to delivering reliable and high-performance solutions. Among the highlights were the new WFM6100 and WFM7000 series waveform monitors, designed for flexibility, reliability, and robust performance. These multi-format waveform monitors allow users to choose the right configuration that best fits their business needs. The SD-enabled WFM6100 supports systems using composite analog and SD digital video formats, while the HD-enabled WFM7000 and WFM7100 are ideal for managing mixed HD/SD/composite video environments. The WFM7100 builds upon the WFM7000 by offering advanced monitoring and measurement capabilities. Both models support digital audio monitoring, including embedded audio and separate AES/EBU inputs, as well as analog audio formats. They also provide Dolby audio monitoring, high-performance SDI signal measurements, and detailed digital data analysis. All models feature an integrated XGA display for high-resolution viewing. A key innovation is the MyMenu feature, which allows users to customize their interface by placing frequently used functions into a single, intuitive menu. This makes operation more efficient for both individual and group users. Another standout feature is CaptureVuâ„¢, which captures full-frame video data either manually or automatically when triggered by events like gamut alarms. Unlike traditional freeze display, CaptureVu shows captured data alongside the actual signal, enabling accurate comparisons and faster troubleshooting. These waveform monitors also include powerful fault detection, alarm generation, and comprehensive quality verification features. They support ancillary data monitoring, including closed caption decoding and superior audio monitoring. With patented timing displays, they are ideal for system installation, maintenance, and diagnostics. The WFM6100 and WFM7100 further enhance performance with eye diagram displays, jitter measurement, and deep analysis of video and embedded audio signals.
